Sports Physicals FAQs
Sports physicals can be performed at any of our Indigo Urgent Care locations. Same-day or next-day appointments are available by booking online.
We recommend scheduling 4–6 weeks before your sport's season begins to allow time for any follow-up if needed. Fall sports families should aim for July or early August. Spring sports families should plan for late January through February.
Sports physical coverage varies by insurance carrier. Please check with your health insurance company for current information about your plan and coverage.
Indigo accepts most major insurances and will be able to provide an estimated cost of your visit during check-in.
Please note: Customers with WA Apple Health (Medicaid) coverage will be referred to their primary care physician for sports physicals.
If you do not have medical insurance of any kind, Indigo offers a self-pay price of $250. Learn more
All students participating in WIAA-sanctioned sports — including football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross country, swimming, baseball, softball, and more — are required to have a current sports physical on file before the season begins.
Yes. Our clinicians are familiar with WIAA Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation requirements and can complete the necessary forms for Washington State student-athletes. If your school uses a specific district form, bring it to your appointment and we'll fill it out.
