Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — Indigo can help with short-term prescription refills while you’re away from home. Whether you forgot a routine medication or need a refill before or during travel, our providers may be able to prescribe common medications like inhalers, birth control, EpiPens, thyroid medication, blood pressure medication, and more.
During your visit, an Indigo provider will review your travel plans, health history, and destination-specific risks to help you prepare for your trip. You’ll receive personalized recommendations, prevention guidance, and travel-related prescriptions if appropriate.
Over-the-counter options like Dramamine® and Bonine® can help prevent motion sickness and nausea during travel. For longer trips or ongoing symptoms, an Indigo provider may also recommend prescription options like the scopolamine patch.
Insurance coverage varies by plan. Many insurance plans cover the medical visit, but coverage for travel-related care and prescriptions may differ. We recommend checking with your insurance provider for specific benefit details.
Many common travel-related illnesses and minor health concerns can be treated virtually while you’re away from home, including cold and flu symptoms, stomach illness, motion sickness, mild infections, and other non-emergency conditions.
